Rowing on the Apeldoorns Kanaal – Eerbeek

SaarRowingCenter offers coaching on this location in single sculls or doubles whole year round. The Apeldoorn Canal is sheltered, hardly any wind, no other traffic.

Rowing water

The Apeldoorns Canal is relatively narrow and sheltered water, ideal for beginners and a luxury for experienced rowers who completely want to focus on their technique. No ships at all! We use a small canoe dock in Eerbeek, near the Hallse Bridge. There are no facilities, other than a small parking, the canoe dock and trees. Back to basics, and enjoy nature. Bring your own lunch, coffee, tea and make sure to bring enough drinking water.

Fleet

We bring our SaarRowingCenter boats (1x, 2x) to Eerbeek. In spring, we can also facilitate starters, without any rowing experience, in our Wintech Explorer 24.

Coaching

In two outings of 60 to 90 minutes while your coach accompanies you by bike and makes video’s. These videos will be analyzed by your coach in between the outings.

Location

Our starting spot is at the Halsse Bridge, just outside of Eerbeek, a small village in the triangle Apeldoorn-Zutphen-Arnhem, on the national park the Veluwe. For your overnight stay there are plenty of facilities, from hotels to holiday houses and camp sites in the area.
