Rowing in Seneffe

For master rowers who take their training serious and want to prepare for race season, we offer a training camp in Seneffe, Belgium, in May and October. This can also be an alternative for those who are not able to travel to Seville. Meet like-minded rowers in a sportive environment and focus on your training on excellent rowing water.

Rowing water

Seneffe is a small village, south of Brussels. At the canal from Brussels to Charleroi you find the watersportcentre “La Marlette” and rowing club “Les 3Y”. On this site a yearly regatta is held. The canal is very suitable for training, with its sloping banks and sheltered water.

We use the facilities of La Marlette like dressingrooms and the dining room for a hot lunch.

Fleet

We bring our SaarRowingCenter singles, double and pair. You can also bring your own boat, on request we can arrange transport for smaller boats. If you wish to row in a four or an eight, you are more than welcome to bring your own boat.

Coaching

Along the shore of the canal lies a bike path. Your coach can accompany you for kilometres by bike. The technical coaching aims to let your boat run faster and more efficient. The videoanalyses during the lunch break provides footage to support the technical adjustments of your rowing stroke.

In Seneffe we follow the program of the 3 or 4-days advanced rowing course, with an extra training. During the training camp there are six or eight outings, and three or four times videoanalyses. A daily hot lunch is included.

Seneffe can best be reached by car, at approximately 60 km from Brussels. For your overnight stay there are several options, for example the hotel Le Manoir du Capitain in the nearby village Feluy.
